Holcim raises 2026 profit guidance after third-quarter earnings beat
Holcim lifted its full-year 2026 earnings guidance after third-quarter recurring operating profit jumped 17% to CHF 976 million, beating analyst forecasts.
Holcim has upgraded its full-year 2026 earnings guidance after the Swiss building materials company reported better-than-expected third-quarter sales and profit, Reuters reported on Friday (https://www.reuters.com/business/holcim-increases-earnings-guidance-after-q3-profit-beats-forecasts-2026-10-23/).
The group posted recurring operating profit of 976 million Swiss francs (about $1.19 billion) for the quarter to the end of September, up 17% and ahead of the 949 million francs expected by analysts in a company-gathered consensus.
Third-quarter sales rose to 4.66 billion francs, beating forecasts of 4.59 billion francs.
Holcim responded by lifting its 2026 outlook, saying it now expects recurring operating profit to increase by 10-12%, up from its previous forecast of a 10% rise.
Its own earnings statement put quarterly net sales at 4.662 billion francs, up 15.5%, with recurring EBIT up 16.8%, and said the upgraded guidance applies to organic growth in recurring EBIT (https://www.ad-hoc-news.de/boerse/ad-hoc-mitteilungen/holcim-group-services-ltd-ch0012214059/70396355).
Chief executive Miljan Gutovic said: “In the first nine months of the year, we achieved strong profitable growth with an industry-leading recurring EBIT margin thanks to increased customer demand for our high-value offering, strict cost discipline and operational excellence.”
Holcim said it completed 11 value-accretive transactions in the first nine months, including the August agreement to acquire Fermacell, the European walling and flooring business.
