The 26-year-old Swedish midfielder has not played since suffering a serious knee injury in May 2025, at the end of the 2024-25 season, and missed Tottenham’s Europa League triumph, the whole of last season and this year’s World Cup. Tribune Pakistan
“Yes, Kulusevski on the bench. We had a meeting with the medical staff. They gave the OK and it’s great news,” De Zerbi told reporters on Sunday. “Deki, he suffered too much. He deserves to feel emotion on the pitch.” Tribune Pakistan
Kulusevski’s return comes as Savio and Lucas Bergvall join the injury list. Savio felt a “muscular problem” on Tuesday before the squad left for the warm-weather training camp in Marbella and is out for “some weeks”, while Bergvall’s knee issue picked up at the start of the Manchester United game will sideline him for about two weeks.
