KLM extends Middle East flight cancellations through winter season

KLM will not fly between Amsterdam and Dubai for the whole 2026/2027 winter season, through 27 March 2027, and has cancelled flights to Riyadh and Dammam through 27 November 2026, the airline said on Monday.

KLM will not operate flights between Amsterdam and Dubai for the whole 2026/2027 winter season, through 27 March 2027, the Dutch airline said on Monday.

Flights to the Saudi cities of Riyadh and Dammam are cancelled through 27 November 2026, KLM said in an update to its Middle East statement on 26 October. Passengers whose flights have been cancelled will be notified.

The announcement extends the previous position, under which KLM had said it would not fly to Dubai through 24 October and not to Riyadh and Dammam through 31 October, according to the airline’s earlier updates. Reuters reported on Monday that KLM, the Dutch arm of Air France KLM, would not operate flights to various Middle East destinations for the entire winter season.

KLM has adjusted its Middle East schedule several times since the start of the US-Israeli war with Iran this year, Reuters reported. The airline’s statement does not give a new resumption date for Dubai beyond the end of the winter season, and its Riyadh and Dammam cancellations run about a month beyond the previous deadline.

The change affects travellers booked on the Amsterdam–Dubai, Amsterdam–Riyadh and Amsterdam–Dammam routes for the periods stated.
