Polish PM Donald Tusk to visit India October 21–23, hold talks with Modi

NEW DELHI: Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk will visit India from October 21 to 23 at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India’s Ministry of External Affairs announced on Monday (https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/polish-pm-donald-tusk-to-visit-india-from-october-21-to-23-hold-talks-with-pm-modi/articleshow/135045953.cms).

Tusk will hold bilateral talks with Modi in New Delhi on October 22, where the two leaders will review the full spectrum of bilateral relations — elevated to a Strategic Partnership during Modi’s visit to Poland in August 2024 — and exchange views on regional and global issues of mutual interest (https://ianslive.in/polish-pm-donald-tusk-to-visit-india-this-week-deepen-strategic-partnership—20261019151704).

Tusk will be accompanied by Poland’s Minister of Finance and Economy Andrzej Domański and a large business delegation. He will also travel to Bengaluru to meet stakeholders in the information technology and space sectors, and India-Poland Business Forums will be held in New Delhi on October 22 and in Bengaluru on October 23.

This will be Tusk’s second visit to India as Polish prime minister, the first being in 2010. The visit follows External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar’s September 4 meeting with Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski in Warsaw, where both sides reviewed the Joint Action Plan 2024–28. Poland’s Ambassador to India, Piotr Antoni Świtalski, said the visit would inject fresh momentum into the strategic partnership (https://www.tribuneindia.com/news/world/poland-pm-donald-tusks-upcoming-visit-to-inject-fresh-momentum-into-strategic-partnership-with-india-envoy-piotr-antoni-switalski/).
