Zelenskyy says Ukraine is 'not losing', accuses Putin of helping Iran after Oslo talks
In Oslo after talks with Witkoff, Støre and Stubb, Zelenskyy said Ukraine's US dialogue is constructive and accused Putin of supplying Iran with drone parts and intelligence.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has insisted Ukraine is not losing its war against Russia, while describing Kyiv’s dialogue with the United States as constructive, at a press conference in Oslo on Tuesday after talks with US envoy Steve Witkoff, Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre and Finnish President Alexander Stubb (ET Now).
“Of course, we are not losing this war, but we are losing people because Russia attacks,” he said, according to agency reports carried by Times Now. Zelenskyy said the two sides remain engaged on intelligence sharing, access to Starlink satellite communications and efforts to secure an energy ceasefire, and confirmed the US was sharing intelligence with Ukraine.
Zelenskyy also accused Russian President Vladimir Putin of helping Iran. “I don’t know for certain. I think Putin is helping Iran and helped it before, because we saw various details of the drones Russia transferred to Iran. I also think they shared intelligence with the Iranians, including satellite data and other information. That’s what we know,” he said, adding that he knew little but was convinced Russia was on Iran’s side (Ukrinform via mezha.net). ET Now noted the agency inputs did not detail the alleged assistance.
The remarks follow US President Donald Trump’s Sunday post on Truth Social, in which he said Russia was doing “very little, if anything” to help Iran “compared to what they could be doing, and I want to keep it that way” (Gulf News).
