Capitolis raises $220m in financing at $1.9bn valuation to back eSecLending acquisition
Fintech firm Capitolis has raised $220m in financing at a $1.9bn valuation, with a $120m Series E equity round led by Citi, to support its $200m acquisition of securities-lending firm eSecLending.

Capitolis said on Tuesday it had raised $220 million in financing that values the financial technology company at $1.9 billion, a step up from its $1.6 billion valuation in its 2022 Series D round (https://www.reuters.com/legal/transactional/citi-backed-fintech-capitolis-valued-about-2-billion-latest-funding-round-2026-10-06/).
The financing comprised a $120 million Series E equity round led by existing investor Citi, alongside debt, with new strategic investors Bank of America, Nomura and Tradeweb Markets joining existing backers Barclays, BNP Paribas, JPMorgan, State Street and UBS (https://www.reuters.com/legal/transactional/citi-backed-fintech-capitolis-valued-about-2-billion-latest-funding-round-2026-10-06/).
Capitolis said the financing would support its previously announced acquisition of eSecLending, the independent securities-lending business it agreed to buy for $200 million in cash on 29 September (https://en.globes.co.il/en/article-israeli-fintech-co-capitolis-buys-eseclending-for-200m-1001557887). The deal, from Parthenon Capital, is subject to regulatory and antitrust approvals.
Founded by chief executive Gil Mandelzis, Capitolis develops technology and financial solutions for banks and institutional investors focused on capital and balance sheet management (https://www.reuters.com/legal/transactional/citi-backed-fintech-capitolis-valued-about-2-billion-latest-funding-round-2026-10-06/). The acquisition would be its fourth in five years, adding a securities-lending franchise serving pension funds, insurers and asset managers to its resource-optimisation platform.
