Circle chief financial officer Jeremy Fox-Geen to step down by year-end

Circle Internet Group has announced that chief financial officer Jeremy Fox-Geen intends to step down by the end of 2026, with a search for his successor already under way.

Circle Internet Group, the issuer of the USDC stablecoin, has announced that chief financial officer Jeremy Fox-Geen intends to step down after more than five years in the role, the company said in a press release on 25 September 2026 (https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20260925217532/en/Circle-Announces-CFO-Transition-Plan).

Fox-Geen will continue as CFO through the end of December 2026 unless a successor is appointed sooner. Circle says it has commenced a search for his successor with the assistance of a leading executive search firm.

Fox-Geen joined Circle in May 2021. The company credits him with building its financial organisation and navigating its $1.2 billion initial public offering.

Chief executive Jeremy Allaire said: “Jeremy has played a key role in building Circle into the company it is today… We are grateful for all he has done for Circle. We wish him the best.”

Fox-Geen said serving as Circle’s CFO had been “the highlight of my professional career” and that “it is now the right time for me to step down and take a break before my next chapter.”

The Defiant reports his exit agreement includes $1.05 million in conditional cash payments (https://thedefiant.io/converge/people/circle-cfo-jeremy-fox-geen-to-step-down-by-year-end).

Circle shares dipped on the news, falling about 4.7% to around $88.60 on Friday after closing the previous session at $93, according to market data (https://transcriptdaily.com/2026/09/25/circle-internet-group-nysecrcl-stock-price-down-4-7-whats-next.html).

Circle (NYSE: CRCL) describes USDC as the anchor of the world’s largest stablecoin network.
