Robinhood unveils AI trading agents, weekend stock trading and crypto perpetuals

Robinhood announced in-app AI agents built on OpenAI and Anthropic models, weekend trading of US stocks and ETFs, and crypto perpetual futures with up to 10x leverage at its HOOD Summit in Houston.

Robinhood on Tuesday unveiled a major expansion of its trading platform at the HOOD Summit 2026 in Houston, headlined by in-app AI agents that can trade on customers’ behalf, weekend trading of US stocks and ETFs, and crypto perpetual futures with up to 10x leverage, Investor’s Business Daily reported.

The new “Robinhood Agents” let customers build AI agents inside the app using models from OpenAI or Anthropic. The agents can research markets, build watchlists and trade stocks, options and crypto — with customer approval required for each trade by default, no margin use at launch, and funds ring-fenced in a dedicated agentic account. Robinhood first opened its infrastructure to outside AI agents in May, and more than 150,000 agentic accounts have been created since, PANews reported, citing CoinDesk.

The brokerage will also offer a curated list of US stocks and ETFs for trading on Saturdays and Sundays, pending regulatory review, extending its existing 24-hour market. Crypto perpetual futures for eligible US customers will offer up to 10x leverage on bitcoin and ether and 3x on other tokens, with a 0.01% fee through year-end. Earnings binary contracts through Cboe — letting traders bet on whether companies beat revenue or EPS estimates — roll out in the coming weeks.

“We’re making Robinhood the best place in the world for active traders by delivering tools once reserved for hedge funds, big banks, and quant firms,” CEO Vlad Tenev said. Shares rose more than 2% in overnight trading after the announcements, TradingView reported.
