TCS Q2 FY27 profit rises 15% to Rs 13,884 crore; Rs 12 dividend declared

TCS reported Q2 FY27 net profit of Rs 13,884 crore, up 4% QoQ and about 15% YoY, with revenue of Rs 73,188 crore and a second interim dividend of Rs 12 per share.

Tata Consultancy Services reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 13,884 crore for the July–September quarter of FY27, up 4% quarter-on-quarter from Rs 13,349 crore in Q1 and about 15% year-on-year, results released after market hours on Thursday showed.

Revenue from operations rose 1.3% sequentially to Rs 73,188 crore from Rs 72,275 crore in the June quarter, and 11.2% year-on-year from Rs 65,799 crore in Q2 FY26. Both profit and revenue beat the ET Now poll of analysts. Earnings before interest and tax climbed 1.4% quarter-on-quarter to Rs 17,553 crore from Rs 17,317 crore, though the EBIT margin was flat at 24% quarter-on-quarter. Dollar revenue grew 0.2% sequentially to $7,642m from $7,624m.

Annualised AI revenue reached $3.1bn in the quarter, crossing 10% of total revenue, and total contract value stood at $9.6bn. The board declared a second interim dividend of Rs 12 per share, with October 14 as the record date and October 30 as the payment date.

The company added 4,258 employees during the quarter, taking headcount to 5,98,056. Strategic wins included a five-year partnership with Porsche AG, including the proposed acquisition of Porsche’s IT consulting arm MHP, and a deal to transition Best Buy’s Indian global capability centre into an AI capability centre.
