Trump disclosed more than 1,100 July stock trades worth up to $270m, filing shows

Donald Trump's latest financial disclosure shows 1,156 stock purchases and sales in July worth between $79m and $270m, including $5m-to-$25m sales of Microsoft and Amazon shares, according to CNBC and Guardian analyses.

Donald Trump disclosed more than 1,100 securities transactions made on his behalf in July, including sales of as much as $25 million each of Microsoft and Amazon shares, in a new financial filing released on Tuesday.

The 1,156 purchases and sales totalled between roughly $79 million and $270 million, according to a CNBC analysis of the president’s latest financial disclosure. Purchases totalled at least $43.6 million while sales came to at least $35.6 million, in what CNBC described as a broad reshuffling of the portfolio.

The biggest disclosed moves were sales on 20 July of between $5 million and $25 million each of Microsoft and Amazon shares. A Guardian analysis of the same filing, released on Tuesday, found Trump made more than 440 purchases and 700 sales in the month. The largest transactions included sales of up to $5 million each in Oracle and Costco stock and between $500,000 and $1 million in Nvidia shares, alongside purchases of up to $5 million in Intuit and Salesforce stock.

Three days after the Microsoft and Amazon sales, the filing shows the accounts buying back smaller positions: between $100,001 and $250,000 of Microsoft and between $1,001 and $15,000 of Amazon, CNBC found. The trading coincided with a $291 billion rally in technology stocks on 20 July.

The White House said the portfolio is managed through discretionary accounts by third-party institutions. Spokesman Davis Ingle said “all investment decisions are made entirely by independent managers,” adding: “There are no conflicts of interest.”

The July figures continue a pattern of heavy trading: a disclosure for June published in August showed more than 1,000 trades totalling between $78.1 million and $263.1 million, and a disclosure for 2025 showed Trump had made more than 21,000 trades. Trump has said the transactions are carried out on his behalf by independent financial advisers.
