Blueface Arrested After Swatting Call Draws Armed Response in Santa Clarita
Blueface was arrested Monday night in Santa Clarita after a bogus swatting call sent deputies to a Valencia business; the LA County Sheriff's Office says he allegedly refused commands and was booked for delaying the investigation.
Rapper Blueface (legal name Johnathan Porter) was arrested Monday evening, 19 October 2026, in Santa Clarita, California, after a hoax 911 call sent armed deputies to a business in Valencia, TMZ reports.
A representative for the LA County Sheriff’s Office told TMZ that deputies responded at 7:43pm to a report of a man pointing a gun at someone at the Valencia business. Deputies detained several people, including Blueface, who then allegedly refused to follow police commands. As a result, he was arrested for delaying a law enforcement investigation and booked into the LA County jail. Deputies ultimately determined the call was a bogus swatting hoax — a false emergency report designed to trigger a police response. Hindustan Times confirms the timeline and booking.
The incident unfolded while Blueface was livestreaming on the Kick platform, according to KTLA via Hindustan Times. HipHopWired notes the group were dressed in superhero Halloween costumes and had told deputies they were not carrying weapons.
The rapper remains on probation after pleading guilty to a 2022 shooting of another man in Las Vegas, TMZ reports. He was detained by police during a livestream in August and recently got engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Chrisean Rock.
