Gypsy-Rose Blanchard says she is '100% certain' ex-fiancé Ken Urker did not die by suicide
Gypsy-Rose Blanchard updated her anti-cyberbullying Change.org petition to claim she is '100% certain' her late ex-fiancé Ken Urker did not die by suicide; the coroner has set no definitive cause of death, with toxicology still pending.
Gypsy-Rose Blanchard has updated her anti-cyberbullying Change.org petition, “Support Kenan’s Law: Fight Online Harassment”, to say she is “100% certain” her late ex-fiancé Ken Urker did not die by suicide.
“We do know with 100% certainly that it was not suicide,” she wrote, adding that the official cause of death is still pending toxicology results. The claim is hers alone — not an official finding.
The Lafourche Parish Coroner’s Office told Page Six: “At this time, there is no definitive cause of death. The case remains pending completion of toxicology testing.”
Blanchard, 35, attributes his decline to “extreme cyberbullying” damaging his mental health and leading him to “unhealthy coping strategies such as drugs and alcohol”. She is calling on Reddit to investigate a snark page she says targeted him, and is pushing for “Kenan’s Law” — for Urker’s legal first name — to require “pattern-based harassment reporting” by social platforms.
Urker was found dead at his Louisiana home on Oct 1, his 34th birthday, after Blanchard’s family member Anita Blanchard requested a welfare check when he did not show up for work. Page Six obtained an incident report in which deputies described syringes, a spoon and a brown powdery substance, and a syringe and handgun on his bedside nightstand.
Blanchard and Urker shared a one-year-old daughter, Aurora, and had quietly split before his death.
