No Kings rallies sweep US as organisers claim nearly seven million at 2,700 events

Organisers claim nearly seven million people joined more than 2,700 No Kings events across all 50 US states on Saturday, turning the fourth nationwide round of anti-Trump protests into a drive for early voting ahead of the November 3 midterms.

Organisers of the No Kings movement claimed on Saturday that nearly seven million people joined more than 2,700 events across all 50 US states in the fourth round of nationwide demonstrations against Donald Trump, a figure they presented as among the largest single-day protest turnouts in American history.

The claim, reported by Jordan-based Roya News, was issued by organisers and had not been independently verified late on Saturday. US coverage carried a note of caution: USA Today reported that organisers themselves expected Saturday’s events to be smaller than previous rounds, saying the impact “will be difficult to determine until states release early voting numbers.”

Unlike the first three rounds, which drew millions to marches in big cities and small towns, Saturday’s events were deliberately framed around early voting and turnout for the November 3 midterm elections. Organisers planned more than 3,000 actions, according to USA Today, with events ranging from marches to the polls in Phoenix to voting-information booths nationwide.

Police in several major cities described large but orderly crowds. More than 100,000 people rallied peacefully across New York City’s five boroughs with “zero protest-related arrests”, and more than 25,000 protested peacefully in San Diego, according to police figures cited by Bonikbarta. Crowds in Boston, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Denver, Chicago and Seattle each appeared to number in the thousands if not tens of thousands, the same report said.

House Speaker Mike Johnson on Friday labelled the rallies “the hate America rally”, and the White House dismissed the organisers’ voting focus, telling USA Today that the fact organisers were talking about voting “shows there is no king and no authoritarian government”.
