No Kings: Vote Early — fourth nationwide day brings thousands of rallies across all 50 states
The fourth nationwide No Kings day is under way today, with organisers reporting more than 3,000 actions across all 50 states and Washington, DC — this time focused on early voting rather than protest alone. Five demonstrations are taking place in Palm Beach County while Donald Trump spends the day at Mar-a-Lago.
Thousands of “No Kings: Vote Early” rallies, marches and voter-participation events are taking place across the United States today in the fourth nationwide day of the No Kings movement.
Organisers report more than 3,000 actions, Indivisible co-founder Ezra Levin told USA Today (15 October), each focused on early voting and turnout rather than protest alone. The Progress-Index (17 October) reported more than 1,500 protests and related events across all 50 states and Washington, DC, organised with 50501, Indivisible, the ACLU, MoveOn and the League of Women Voters.
“How do you prevent the sabotage of an election using the tools available to you? Well, you vote like hell,” Levin said. The stated goal is turnout so high it would be hard for the Trump administration to claim fraud. Previous No Kings actions rank among the largest protests in American history and have been consistently nonviolent; the last round drew 8 million participants nationally, the Palm Beach Post reports.
Donald Trump is at Mar-a-Lago as demonstrations unfold around him. The Palm Beach Post reports he flew in late Friday to Donald J. Trump International Airport — his first landing there since the state renamed it for him this summer — and is due to fly to Kentucky for a Republican rally on Saturday before returning. Five county demonstrations run 10 a.m.–3 p.m. ET: Palm Beach Gardens, Boca Raton, West Palm Beach, Wellington and Boynton Beach.
The White House dismissed the organisers. “The fact that the ‘No Kings’ organisers are talking about voting in the upcoming election proves they should change their name,” spokeswoman Lauren Bis said, adding: “This November, Americans have a clear choice between President Trump and Republicans’ commonsense policies or the extreme Democrats’ radical socialist, open-border policies.”
