Private jet skids off runway, hits fence at Las Vegas airport

A private jet aborted its takeoff and skidded off the end of a runway at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas on Sunday morning, making contact with the airport’s perimeter fence, officials said. The aircraft, a Dassault Falcon 50 with tail number N200SG, was departing Runway 1L at about 11 a.m. when it went off the runway end. “There are no known injuries at this time,” the airport said in a statement. The Federal Aviation Administration identified eight people aboard and said the plane was bound for Toronto Pearson Airport in Canada, with the pilot aborting the takeoff before the aircraft left the runway.
