Amy Schumer and Chris Fischer reach divorce agreement after seven-year marriage

Amy Schumer and Chris Fischer have reached a divorce agreement, submitting a proposed divorce judgment to the New York Supreme Court on Thursday. The judgment has been signed by the court and awaits final processing by the County Clerk.

Amy Schumer and Chris Fischer have reached a divorce agreement, submitting a proposed divorce judgment to the New York Supreme Court on Thursday, 24 September, according to docket reporting by Page Six.

The judgment was signed by the court and is now awaiting final processing by the County Clerk, the docket shows. The court also processed orders concerning support for the former couple’s 7-year-old son, Gene. Representatives and lawyers for Schumer and Fischer did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

The “Trainwreck” star, 45, and Fischer, 46, confirmed their separation in December 2025 after seven years of marriage. “Chris and I have made the difficult decision to end our marriage after 7 years,” Schumer wrote on Instagram at the time. “We love each other very much and will continue to focus on raising our son.”

The pair married in 2018 and welcomed Gene a year later. Schumer officially filed for divorce in January, though the reason for the split has not been made public.

Schumer publicly denied that her weight loss had played a part in the break-up, writing: “Amicable and all love and respect! Family forever.”
