Harry Potter star Bonnie Wright has announced the birth of her second child, a son named Aster Sky Wright Lococo.
The actress, 35, best known for playing Ginny Weasley in the Harry Potter films, shared the news on Instagram on Saturday along with photographs of the newborn. Aster Sky was born at home on September 28, Wright said.
“Say hello to our son Aster Sky Wright Lococo born at home,” she wrote in the caption. She explained the name comes from the aster flower, which she noted is star-shaped, adding: “Our little star has been showered in love by his big brother Elio. Thank you universe for my loving bundle of boys!”
Wright thanked her midwife and pregnancy guides for helping with the delivery. She shares Aster Sky and her eldest son Elio Ocean, three, with her husband Andrew Lococo.
Her Harry Potter castmates were among those congratulating the family in the comments. Evanna Lynch, who played Luna Lovegood, wrote: “Congratulations Bonnie and Andrew!!! What a beautiful little guy and beautiful names.” Katie Leung, who played Cho Chang, added: “Huge congrats my love. What a lucky boy to have you as his mama. Rest up.”
Wright first announced her pregnancy in April, sharing a photograph of her baby bump with her eldest son resting his head on her belly. “Two babies on my lap,” she wrote at the time. “Our second little earthling joining us this autumn.”
