Bollywood stars Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have welcomed their second child, a baby girl, announcing the news on Saturday, 19 September.
The couple shared the announcement with a joint Instagram post featuring a card with a tiny baby footprint, reading “Welcome Baby Girl! 19|9|2026 Dua. Deepika & Ranveer”, the Indian Express reported. Geo News noted the couple signed off as “Dua, Deepika and Ranveer”, alongside an evil-eye emoji.
The baby is a little sister for their first daughter, Dua, who was born on 8 September 2024. The couple had announced the second pregnancy on 19 April 2026 with a post showing Dua holding a positive pregnancy test kit, and a day before the birth they were photographed visiting Mumbai’s Siddhivinayak Temple to seek blessings, Mathrubhumi reported.
Congratulations poured in from across the film industry. Kriti Sanon wrote: “Awww!! congratulations you guys!!! Dua has a baby sister!!! Such a blessing!”, while Anil Kapoor commented: “Congratulations… Girls are the best!”, according to the Times of India.
Padukone and Singh married in November 2018 at Lake Como, Italy.
