Diddy moved to Pennsylvania federal prison after luxury-lifestyle reports, BOP confirms
Sean 'Diddy' Combs has been transferred from FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey to FCI Allenwood Low in Pennsylvania, the Federal Bureau of Prisons confirmed on Friday, after weeks of scrutiny over reports of a lavish lifestyle behind bars.
Sean “Diddy” Combs has been transferred from FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey to FCI Allenwood Low, a low-security federal prison in Pennsylvania, the Federal Bureau of Prisons confirmed on Friday.
A person familiar with the matter told The Associated Press that Combs, 56, was moved after weeks of scrutiny over reports that he was living a lavish lifestyle behind bars. The BOP confirmed the move but gave no reason, saying it does not discuss conditions of confinement for privacy, safety and security reasons.
“Decisions about inmate placement are made by the BOP, and we are not in a position to speak to the circumstances surrounding this transfer,” Combs’s spokesperson Juda Engelmayer told the AP. “Sean remains focused on moving forward, and we hope that his time at the new facility will be productive and without unnecessary disruption.”
Combs is serving a four-year, two-month sentence after his 2025 conviction on prostitution-related charges for transporting people across state lines for sexual encounters. Last month, NBC News reported he had smuggled Hennessy into Fort Dix, had fellow inmates cook, clean, make his bed and give him massages, and used a contraband cellphone to view social media and an ex-girlfriend’s nude selfies.
Following that report, Combs was placed in the prison’s special housing unit and docked 41 days of good-conduct credit, pushing his projected release date to 2 March 2028, according to the person familiar with the matter.
TMZ reported on Wednesday that Combs was injured in a fight at Fort Dix and taken out of the prison for treatment. In a rare rebuttal, the BOP refuted the report, telling the AP: “The story you are referring to is false and did not happen.”
People, citing a BOP spokesperson, confirmed the Friday transfer and reported that TMZ was first to break the news.
