Conjoined twin influencers José Luis and José Armando Cevallos die aged 27
Ecuadorian conjoined-twin influencers José Luis and José Armando Cevallos have died aged 27 after back-to-back cardiac emergencies in Colombia; close friend Fernando Carrillo described the sequence to Spanish television.
Conjoined twin influencers José Luis and José Armando Cevallos have died at the age of 27 after suffering back-to-back cardiac emergencies, Dexerto reported, citing the announcement made by their social media team on Instagram.
The twins, from Ecuador, died on 15 October 2026 while receiving medical treatment in Colombia. Their team announced the deaths on Instagram: “With profound sorrow, we share this official statement to announce the passing of our beloved Siamese Twins of Ecuador.”
Close friend Fernando Carrillo told Spanish television programme Y Ahora Sonsoles, in an interview published on 15 October, that José Luis began feeling unwell with nausea and was taken to hospital, where he suffered cardiac arrest. Doctors managed to stabilise him, but minutes later José Armando suffered a heart attack and both brothers died. “José Armando took José Luis with him,” Carrillo said. “They were born together and died together.”
The twins’ brother, Damián Cevallos, told the same programme on 16 October that their parents were devastated. “I have no words to describe how my parents feel,” he said.
Born joined at the torso and sharing a liver and intestines, the brothers had considered separation surgery, but doctors judged the procedure too dangerous. Known online as the Siameses del Ecuador, they documented their daily lives for more than 60,000 Instagram followers under @siamesesdelecuador; their last post, on 12 October, showed them loading a car together. They had travelled to Colombia to seek treatment to improve their mobility.
