Rapper Lucki injured in ComplexCon altercation as LAPD investigates attempted murder

Chicago rapper Lucki was injured in an altercation outside ComplexCon in Los Angeles on Saturday, Oct. 3, with law-enforcement sources telling TMZ that four people were hurt in total and the LAPD is investigating the incident as an attempted murder, Halla Back reported citing TMZ.

According to the law-enforcement sources, Lucki was in the parking lot around 4:40pm on Saturday, surrounded by fans for photos, when an unknown suspect struck him in the side of the face, causing a laceration. Another victim was then observed being stabbed, and police later located two additional injured people. In total, four victims were identified: three are in stable condition and one transported themselves to hospital. No arrests have been made and it is not known how many suspects were involved.

Lucki reposted an Instagram Story around 4am on Sunday morning, and The Needle Drop reported that he told a concerned fan on Saturday evening that he was fine. His current medical condition has not been officially confirmed.

Videos circulating online show Lucki being escorted to a car with a wound to his neck and face area. Playboi Carti was present at ComplexCon — he is a co-artistic director of this year’s festival alongside Japanese designer Hiroshi Fujiwara and was scheduled to headline Sunday’s concert — but there is no confirmed evidence that he physically attacked Lucki or directed an attack, IndiaTimes reported. An AllHipHop correspondent witnessed the alleged attack, according to that report.

Neither Complex Networks nor Playboi Carti had issued statements about the incident as of Sunday, The Needle Drop reported. ComplexCon is holding its tenth-anniversary edition this weekend at the Los Angeles Convention Center and Crypto.com Arena.
