'Days of Our Lives' star Robert Kelker-Kelly, who played Bo Brady, dies aged 62

Robert Kelker-Kelly, who played Bo Brady on Days of Our Lives from 1992 to 1995 and Stavros Cassadine on General Hospital, has died aged 62 at his Missouri home.

Robert Kelker-Kelly, the soap actor who played Bo Brady on Days of Our Lives in the mid-1990s, has died aged 62, People reports.

The medical examiner in Missouri confirmed to TMZ that Kelker-Kelly died on Saturday 3 October at his home in St Peters, Missouri. No cause of death has been publicly disclosed, People reports. The Sun reported that a spokesperson for the local medical examiner’s office said he is believed to have died from natural causes, and that no toxicology testing was ordered because there was no suspicion that drugs or alcohol were involved.

Kelker-Kelly began his daytime career in 1987 as Sam Fowler on Another World, then took over the role of Bo Brady from Peter Reckell in 1992 and played it for nearly 600 episodes until 1995, starring opposite Kristian Alfonso and Lisa Rinna. He later played Stavros Cassadine on General Hospital from 2001 to 2002, returning for brief appearances in 2013 and 2014.

Away from acting, Kelker-Kelly worked as a professional pilot in Missouri. His portrayal of Bo earned him the Soap Opera Digest Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in 1994, and he and Rinna were named Hottest Couple at the 1995 awards for Bo and Billie.

Rinna wrote in her 2026 memoir that Kelker-Kelly had been “verbally abusive” and “manipulative” on set and that NBC provided security for her and Alfonso after his departure; Kelker-Kelly never publicly responded, People reports.

Kelker-Kelly was married to Linda Rattner from 1988 to 1992 and to his Days co-star Miriam Parrish from 1997 until their divorce in 2013.
