Simu Liu marries Allison Hsu in France after nearly four years together
Marvel star Simu Liu, 37, has married Allison Hsu, 30, over the weekend in France, with TMZ first reporting the news and PEOPLE confirming it through a source.
Simu Liu is married. The 37-year-old star of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings married Allison Hsu, 30, over the weekend of October 3 in France, TMZ first reported, with a source confirming the nuptials to PEOPLE.
According to the outlets, the couple wed in a ceremony in France, though details of the nuptials have not been disclosed. TMZ said its sources indicated the wedding took place over the weekend, and neither Liu nor Hsu has publicly commented beyond the reports.
Liu and Hsu have been together for nearly four years, having first been romantically linked in late 2022. They made their relationship Instagram official on 20 November 2022 and days later attended the Violent Night premiere in Los Angeles together.
The couple announced their engagement in a joint Instagram post on 11 May 2025. Liu proposed in Paris, with the Eiffel Tower and a candlelit floral display as the backdrop. Hsu captioned her post “Us forever” alongside a photo of her engagement ring, while Liu wrote that he would choose her “forever and always”.
Hsu has worked at Interscope Records since 2017 — PEOPLE describes her as the label’s vice president of digital marketing — and she was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in music in 2022.
