Trina Braxton's husband Von Scales dies aged 58, family confirms
Von Scales, the husband of singer and reality star Trina Braxton, has died aged 58, her publicist confirmed in a family statement asking for privacy; the cause of death has not been disclosed.
Von Scales, the husband of singer, entrepreneur and reality star Trina Braxton, has died aged 58, Bossip reported.
“It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Von Scales, beloved husband of Trina Braxton,” Trina’s publicist David Robinson said in a family statement to Bossip. “The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers but is asking for privacy at this time as they navigate this unfortunate event.”
A family representative also confirmed the death to TMZ on Thursday, Parade reported. He is reported to have died at around 2am on Thursday in Atlanta. The family has not disclosed a cause of death.
Scales, an entrepreneur, met Trina through mutual friends and the couple married in December 2019 in St Louis after a long-distance courtship. Their relationship was chronicled on the reality series Braxton Family Values and later The Braxtons, That Grape Juice reported.
The loss is the second major bereavement for Trina, who mourned the death of her former husband Gabe Solis in 2018 following his battle with cancer.
