Ofcom: pay-TV complaints fall in Q2 2026 as broadband, landline and mobile stay flat

Ofcom's Q2 2026 figures show overall telecoms and pay-TV complaints fell versus Q1, driven by pay-TV, while broadband, landline and mobile complaints stayed flat.

Ofcom has published its latest quarterly complaints figures for the UK’s main telecoms and pay-TV providers, covering April to June 2026. Overall complaints fell compared with the first quarter, driven by a fall in pay-TV complaints, while complaints about broadband, landline and mobile services stayed the same.

BT, EE, TalkTalk and Vodafone were the most complained-about broadband providers, each attracting 7 complaints per 100,000 customers. BT’s figure was unchanged, EE’s rose, and TalkTalk’s and Vodafone’s fell compared with the previous quarter. Plusnet, Sky and Virgin Media attracted the fewest broadband complaints.

Plusnet was the most complained-about landline provider, with 10 complaints per 100,000 customers, up from 7 in the previous quarter, with complaints mainly about how complaints were handled. Sky, Utility Warehouse, Virgin Media and Vodafone generated the fewest landline complaints.

O2 and Sky Mobile generated the most pay-monthly mobile complaints. O2 customers complained mainly about faults, service and getting connected, while Sky Mobile customers complained mainly about experiences changing provider. EE, Giffgaff, Tesco Mobile, Three, Vodafone and iD Mobile generated the fewest mobile complaints.

EE and Virgin Media were the most complained-about pay-TV providers, while TalkTalk attracted the fewest, at 0.2 complaints per 100,000 customers. The figures count only complaints made to Ofcom itself, not complaints made directly to providers, and cover only the largest providers.
