SpaceX has launched another batch of broadband satellites from California, with the Starlink Group 15-27 mission lifting off from Vandenberg Space Force Base on Saturday night.
The Falcon 9 lifted off from Space Launch Complex 4 East at 6:47 p.m. PDT on Saturday, September 19 (01:47 UTC on September 20), carrying 27 Starlink V2 Mini satellites toward low Earth orbit, according to launch coverage from Space Affairs Live. Post-launch footage confirms the rocket’s first stage, booster B1093, touched down on the Of Course I Still Love You droneship in the Pacific Ocean after its 17th flight.
The veteran booster previously flew the SDA Tranche 1 transport-layer missions, Transporter-16 and 13 Starlink missions. The Ventura County Star tracked the mission as what would be the 64th launch of 2026 from Vandenberg, with a four-hour window running until 10:47 p.m. PT.
The launch keeps SpaceX’s Falcon 9 cadence going while Starship waits: the company has pushed Starship Flight 14 to September 28, TeslaNorth reported, as it readies Florida’s Space Coast for the heavier-lift vehicle expected to carry the next generation of Starlink satellites.
