Met murder probe: £20,000 reward to find missing Welling mother Nazire Koreli, two years on

Two years after Nazire Koreli vanished in south-east London, a £20,000 reward has been offered for information that could help the Met’s murder investigation find the missing mother-of-two.
The independent charity Crimestoppers is offering up to £20,000 for three months for information given to it exclusively — not to the police — about Ms Koreli, 56, last seen close to her Welling home in September 2024 and reported missing by her daughters in February 2025 (Met reference CAD 5678 of 28 February 2025).
Met Specialist Crime detectives arrested a man in his 50s on suspicion of her murder on Monday, 10 March 2025; he was later released on bail while enquiries continue. Officers have searched her home, reviewed hundreds of hours of CCTV and carried out specialist water searches in nearby Danson Park.
Detective Chief Inspector Wayne Jolley, leading the investigation, said: “Two years on from Nazire’s disappearance, her family continue to face the pain of not knowing what happened to her… Our investigation remains active, and we are committed to pursuing every line of enquiry available to us.” He appealed to anyone in the Bexley area who knew her or saw her between September 2024 and February 2025 to come forward. She was slim, with light brown hair and olive skin.
One daughter, herself now a mother with a daughter about to turn two, said: “I need to know where my mum is. I need answers.” Crimestoppers can be reached anonymously on 0800 555 111 or at crimestoppers-uk.org, guaranteeing 100% anonymity and paying the reward directly; or call police on 101 quoting CAD 5678 of 28 February 2025.
