CBI arrests DGCA deputy director in Tamil Nadu over alleged bribery
India's Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested a deputy director of the aviation regulator DGCA in Tamil Nadu over an alleged bribe demand, and will seek transit remand to bring the officer to Delhi for questioning.

India’s Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested a deputy director of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) in connection with an alleged bribery case, officials said on Sunday.
The arrest was made in Tamil Nadu, the Press Trust of India reported. The agency will approach the court seeking transit remand of the accused officer so he can be brought to the national capital for questioning, the officials said.
The CBI had received inputs about the alleged bribe demand, following which a first information report (FIR) was registered, they said.

The officer has not been named in the reports published so far.
