Israeli strike on Gaza minibus kills at least four, medics say
An Israeli strike hit a passenger vehicle in Gaza City's Tel al-Hawa neighbourhood on Wednesday, killing at least four people, Palestinian medics said.
An Israeli airstrike on a passenger vehicle in Gaza City’s Tel al-Hawa neighbourhood killed at least four people and wounded 14 others on Wednesday, according to Palestinian medics.
The strike targeted a minibus in the southwestern neighbourhood, Reuters reported, citing the territory’s health officials. Al Jazeera reported a higher toll of six people killed and up to 15 wounded, according to Palestinian medical officials, while the Palestine Red Crescent Society said its crews took 13 wounded people to al-Quds Hospital.
The Times of Israel reported that the Israel Defense Forces said the strike targeted a “terror operative”, with further details to be provided later. Reuters reported that the Israeli military did not immediately comment on the strike.
A separate, earlier airstrike on a residential apartment elsewhere in Gaza City killed a woman, medics said, according to Reuters.
The attacks came amid continued Israeli strikes across the Gaza Strip despite a US-brokered ceasefire that took effect in October 2025. Israel says Hamas has been rearming and launching attacks in violation of the ceasefire; Hamas denies this and accuses Israel of undermining the deal. Palestinian health officials say at least 1,400 people have been killed in Gaza since the ceasefire.
