Trump mixes up Brazil and India in Truth Social election post
Trump claimed 125 million people voted in "India's Presidential Election" when he appeared to be describing Brazil's Sunday vote, comparing it with US vote counting.

US President Donald Trump wrote on Truth Social that 125 million people voted in the first round of “India’s Presidential Election”, an apparent mix-up with Brazil’s election held on Sunday 4 October (Indian Express).
The figures Trump cited match Brazil’s vote: about 124.5 million Brazilians cast votes, close to the 125 million figure he used, per figures cited by Courthouse News (Indian Express). Brazil’s first round sent President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and Senator Flávio Bolsonaro to a runoff (Indian Express).
In the post, Trump said the results he described were released soon after polls closed on the same day, and compared this with the United States, where he said counts in Detroit, Philadelphia, California and other cities and states take weeks even though the numbers are much smaller (Indian Express).
He first wrote the word “Rig” before correcting it to “calculate”, and ended the post: “Voting in America is CORRUPT”, signing off as “President DJT” (Indian Express). The post gave no evidence for his claims about US vote counting (Indian Express).
