Bhuvneshwar Kumar recalled to India T20I squad after four years for New Zealand tour
The BCCI has recalled 36-year-old seamer Bhuvneshwar Kumar to India's T20I squad for the five-match tour of New Zealand, nearly four years after his last international appearance.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India has recalled veteran seamer Bhuvneshwar Kumar to the national T20I squad, nearly four years after his last international appearance Sportstar.
The BCCI announced on Tuesday a 16-member squad, led by Shreyas Iyer, for the five-match T20I series in New Zealand from 22 October to 1 November. The 36-year-old Bhuvneshwar, who last played a T20I in November 2022, forced his way back with two strong Indian Premier League campaigns for Royal Challengers Bengaluru, taking 45 wickets across them and playing an important role in the franchise’s title-winning campaigns Sportstar IANS.
It is the first squad named since the exit of former chairman of selectors Ajit Agarkar, with Pragyan Ojha serving as interim chair The Tribune. Varun Chakaravarthy also returns after recovering from a side strain, while Ravi Bishnoi is left out and Jasprit Bumrah is rested ahead of the ODI and Test legs of the tour IANS.
Bhuvneshwar had recently been named captain of India’s squad for the Hong Kong Sixes; his T20I recall means he will miss that tournament IANS.
