Bournemouth secured their first Premier League win of the season with a 2-0 victory over 10-man Sunderland at the Vitality Stadium on Sunday, with Evanilson scoring one goal and setting up the other in the 2-0 win after Evanilson scored and assisted.

Evanilson unselfishly set up Marcus Tavernier’s header for the opener in the sixth minute according to Sky Sports. Sunderland’s Kevin Danso was then shown a straight red card by referee Craig Pawson in the 17th minute for hauling Evanilson down when the striker was through on goal per Sky Sports and the PA report.

Evanilson capitalised on a defensive error three minutes after the break to double the lead — a strike that brought up a career century of goals for the Brazilian PA report.

The result lifts Bournemouth out of the bottom three and up to 15th, while Sunderland stay in the drop zone in 19th after a fourth consecutive defeat “Full-time: Bournemouth 2 Sunderland 0”, and the win lifts Bournemouth out of the bottom three while keeping Sunderland down there per Sky Sports’ table.
