Braves beat Dodgers 3-2 to level NLDS at 1-1

Michael Harris II drove in two runs as Atlanta held off a ninth-inning Dodgers rally to win Game 2 3-2 and even the series.

The Atlanta Braves beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 3-2 in Game 2 of the National League Division Series on Sunday night, evening the series at 1-1 after the Dodgers took the opener 5-3 on Saturday, Sportradar’s final game feed confirmed.

Michael Harris II was the difference for Atlanta. His two-out triple off Kris Bubic in the fifth inning scored on a wild pitch to put the Braves 2-1 ahead, and his RBI double in the seventh off Edgardo Henriquez brought home Matt Olson for a 3-1 cushion, USA Today reported.

The Dodgers had their chances. Freddie Freeman’s solo home run leading off the fourth off Grant Holmes tied the game 1-1, the 17th postseason homer of his career. In the fifth, Dylan Lee walked Mookie Betts and gave up a single to Shohei Ohtani before Braves manager Walt Weiss summoned Robert Suarez, who retired Will Smith and Freeman on fly balls and struck out Teoscar Hernandez to escape the jam.

Didier Fuentes struck out Ohtani to cap a clean seventh for Atlanta, and Roki Sasaki wriggled out of a bases-loaded jam in the eighth by getting Ronald Acuna Jr. to ground into an inning-ending double play.

Los Angeles pushed a run across in the ninth but could not complete the comeback, leaving the series level at 1-1.
