Caleb Williams reaches 50 career touchdowns — third QB ever with 15 or fewer picks
Caleb Williams threw his 50th career touchdown pass against the Falcons, becoming only the third quarterback in NFL history to reach 50 TDs with 15 or fewer interceptions.
Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams made history on the opening drive against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, throwing his 50th career NFL touchdown pass — a 14-yard strike to tight end Colston Loveland at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. The touchdown capped a sharp return to action for the Bears quarterback.
Williams is now only the third quarterback in NFL history to reach 50 career touchdown passes with 15 or fewer interceptions. He has thrown 14 interceptions in his career, joining Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson — two league MVPs — in one of the league’s most exclusive clubs.
The milestone is all the more notable because it was Williams’s first start since Week 2. He had missed three games with a hamstring injury before returning against the Falcons, where the Bears held a 31–23 lead late in the fourth quarter at last check.
