Cowboys stun Texans 34-30 as CeeDee Lamb's late TD caps huge second-half rally
CeeDee Lamb caught a career-high 17 passes for 189 yards and the game-winning 12-yard touchdown with 40 seconds left as the Dallas Cowboys rallied past the Houston Texans 34-30 in Houston on Sunday.
The Dallas Cowboys stormed back from a 10-point half-time deficit to beat the Houston Texans 34-30 in Houston on Sunday, with CeeDee Lamb catching a career-high 17 passes for 189 yards, capped by a 12-yard game-winning touchdown with 40 seconds remaining.
The win lifts the Cowboys to 2-2 while the Texans drop to 0-4. Dallas trailed 23-13 in the third quarter before Javonte Williams powered the rally with a career-high three rushing touchdowns — scoring runs of 8, 1 and 2 yards in the second half, finishing with 19 carries for 62 yards.
The Texans retook the lead 30-27 on Woody Marks’ touchdown with 2:23 left, set up by a hook-and-ladder — a Dalton Schultz catch followed by a David Montgomery lateral on third-and-14. That set the stage for Dak Prescott’s 11-play, 74-yard game-winning drive, finished by the Lamb score. Prescott threw for 335 yards on 32-of-45 passing; C.J. Stroud was 21 of 31 for 347 yards and two touchdowns.
Lamb’s 17 catches rank second in Cowboys single-game history, behind only Jason Witten’s 18 in 2012. Nico Collins returned from a two-game hamstring absence with 7 catches for 118 yards and two touchdowns for Houston.
