Esteban Ocon confirms Haas exit at the end of 2026 season

Esteban Ocon has confirmed he will leave Haas F1 Team at the end of the 2026 season, ending his two-year stint with the American squad.

The Frenchman broke the news on social media on Wednesday morning, having joined Haas in 2025 after his Alpine spell. Haas followed, confirming the team and Ocon “will part ways at the conclusion of the 2026 FIA Formula 1 World Championship.”

“My time with Haas F1 Team will come to an end at the end of the 2026 season,” Ocon said. “I leave this project with my head held high, and proud of my performances in what were not always the easiest of circumstances for various reasons and factors outside of my control.”

The 195-time grand prix starter, winner of the 2021 Hungarian Grand Prix, added: “I am still motivated. I am still hungry. This is absolutely not the end of my Formula 1 career.”

Team principal Ayao Komatsu thanked Ocon for his “professionalism and commitment” since joining in 2025, praising his input through the 2026 regulation change.

The announcement leaves Ocon’s F1 future beyond 2026 in doubt. In 2026, team-mate Oliver Bearman leads him 20 points to 7 after Baku, where both drivers scored for the first time this season; Ocon finished eighth, his best result of the year.

RacingNews365 understands Haas is highly likely to sign Ferrari junior Rafael Camara, the F2 championship leader, to partner Bearman in 2027 — though nothing is announced yet.
