Atlanta Falcons rookie linebacker Kendal Daniels was stretchered off the field with a neck injury during Sunday’s clash with the Chicago Bears.
The 23-year-old fourth-round pick out of Oklahoma was tackling tight end Colston Loveland when his facemask collided with the knee of Loveland, according to NBC Sports (https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/falcons-lb-kendal-daniels-taken-off-field-on-stretcher). Daniels stayed down for several minutes as visibly upset teammates knelt around him, while medical staff attended to him on the field.
Medical personnel cut off his jersey, immobilised his neck, placed him on a stretcher and took him off on a cart. NBC Sports reported that he appeared conscious and was moving a hand as he left the field. The Falcons announced he was out of the game with a neck injury.
The injury came on a night when Daniels had taken over the green-dot defensive play-calling role after Divine Deablo left the same game with an arm injury, NBC Sports reported. Bleacher Report (https://bleacherreport.com/articles/25512787-falcons-kendal-daniels-suffers-scary-injury-latest-updates-after-being-stretchered-vs-bears) described it as a scary scene, while Falcons Wire, citing team reporter William McFadden (https://thefalconswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/falcons/2026/10/18/falcons-kendal-daniels-injury/92320301007/), carried the latest updates as the night unfolded.
No official hospital or condition update from the Falcons was available at publication time.
