Ole Miss rout No. 13 Missouri 31-3 in top-15 SEC showdown
No. 10 Ole Miss thrashed No. 13 Missouri 31-3 in Oxford, dealing the Tigers a second SEC defeat that badly dents their playoff hopes.
No. 10 Ole Miss routed No. 13 Missouri 31-3 at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford on Saturday, in a top-15 SEC showdown that badly damaged the Tigers’ College Football Playoff hopes, per the sportradar final score tracker and the Columbia Daily Tribune’s live coverage from Oxford.
Missouri struck first through Blake Craig’s 27-yard field goal on the opening drive, but that was the sum of the Tigers’ scoring. Ole Miss answered with seven points in the first quarter and then took control in the second, with quarterback Trinidad Chambliss throwing a 17-yard touchdown pass to Caleb Cunningham to stretch the lead to 21-3 at the break.
The Rebels shut Missouri out after half-time, adding ten fourth-quarter points — including a Chambliss rushing touchdown that made it 28-3 — to seal a comprehensive win. Quarter scores read 7-3, 14-0, 0-0, 10-0.
Missouri’s offence managed just a 22% success rate, and the game carried an extra storyline for Tigers quarterback Austin Simmons, who returned to Oxford to face the former team where he began his career before losing the starting job to Chambliss in 2025.
The result moves Ole Miss to 5-1 (3-1 SEC) and drops Missouri to 5-2 (2-2 SEC) — a second conference defeat that leaves the Tigers with little margin for error in a playoff race the Rebels now have a real say in.
