Houston Texans kicker Ka’imi Fairbairn kicked a 49-yard field goal as time expired to seal a 34-31 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in a thriller at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, lifting the Texans to their second consecutive victory after an 0-4 start to the season.

Quarterback C.J. Stroud threw for 312 yards and three touchdowns, completing 24 of 34 passes with one interception, setting the stage for Fairbairn’s game-winner. Tight end Foster Moreau caught two passes, both for touchdowns, while Jaylin Noel posted a career-high 107 receiving yards and a score for Houston, now 2-4.

Jacksonville (4-2) had a three-game winning streak snapped at the end of their fortnight in the UK, despite Trevor Lawrence’s 306 yards and four touchdown passes. Bhayshul Tuten caught two touchdown passes, and Cam Little’s 60-yard field goal with 1:55 remaining tied the game at 31-31.

The game’s defining twist came from two-way star Travis Hunter, whose end-zone interception of Stroud late in the fourth quarter — one series after his touchdown catch — made him the first NFL player since Brian Dawkins in 2002 to record a touchdown reception and an interception in the same game.

Stroud found Woody Marks for a 19-yard gain to cross midfield, and the Texans drained the clock before Fairbairn decided it at the buzzer. Houston are now two games behind the AFC South-leading Jaguars, with a rematch in Houston scheduled for Week 15.
