Usman Wazeer wins 19th straight fight, qualifies for WBA Gold title

Pakistan's Usman Wazeer beat an Indonesian boxer in Pattaya, Thailand, to extend his unbeaten professional record to 19-0 and qualify for a WBA Gold title fight.

Pakistani boxer Usman Wazeer has won his 19th international world-ranking fight, defeating an Indonesian opponent in Pattaya, Thailand, to keep his unbeaten professional record intact and qualify for a WBA Gold title fight.

SAMAA TV reported that Wazeer beat the Indonesian boxer in a contest held in Thailand on 26 September, extending his record to 19 wins from 19 professional bouts. Bol News described it as a hard-fought bout in Pattaya and said the victory earned him qualification for a WBA Gold title fight, a major step in his professional career.

After the fight, Wazeer dedicated his victory to the armed forces of Pakistan, police personnel and those who lost their lives in terrorism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. “I dedicate this victory to the armed forces of Pakistan, our police personnel and those who sacrificed their lives in the fight against terrorism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” he said.

Wazeer also thanked the Pakistan Army for its continued support throughout his career. He said details of his WBA Gold title fight would be announced soon and that he would work hard to win his 20th international fight for Pakistan.
