CoreWeave has announced its entry into the Indian market through a collaboration with AdaniConneX, committing 240 megawatts of dedicated AI data-centre capacity at AdaniConneX’s Taloja campus in Navi Mumbai, Data Center Dynamics reports.

The deployment will span three 80MW buildings, with CoreWeave deploying the NVIDIA Vera Rubin platform for AI training, inference, reasoning and agentic workloads. The company has an option to double its capacity at the campus to 480MW in total, and the first data centres are expected to come online in mid-2028. Investment is expected to total in the multiple billions of dollars over the lifetime of the project, according to NDTV Profit.

CoreWeave will be the sole tenant across the three buildings and intends to establish an office in India and hire locally. AdaniConneX is the joint venture between Adani Enterprises and global data-centre operator EdgeConneX.

“India has the talent, developers, and ambition to become a major center of AI innovation,” said Sachin Jain, CoreWeave’s chief operating officer. “We are investing in the infrastructure, technology, and local presence needed to support that growth, bringing 240MW of capacity, NVIDIA Vera Rubin, and CoreWeave’s expertise to customers building and scaling AI in India.”

The move is CoreWeave’s second expansion in Asia, following its entry into Indonesia in August with three facilities totalling 360MW of contracted power, ROI-NJ reports. More on our technology desk.
