OKX and NYSE parent's joint venture files with SEC for 24/7 tokenized US stock trading
OKXICE — the 50-50 venture of crypto exchange OKX and NYSE parent Intercontinental Exchange — filed with the SEC on Sunday to launch a tokenized securities venue for round-the-clock trading of US stocks, starting with 63 symbols including Nvidia, Apple, Microsoft and Tesla.

OKXICE LLC, the 50-50 joint venture between crypto exchange OKX and New York Stock Exchange parent Intercontinental Exchange, filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission on Sunday to launch a tokenized securities venue for around-the-clock trading of US stocks, Reuters reported on Monday (https://www.reuters.com/legal/government/okx-joint-venture-files-with-sec-launch-tokenized-trading-platform-2026-10-05/).
A public notice dated 4 October lists 63 proposed stock symbols, including Nvidia, Apple, Microsoft and Tesla, alongside crypto companies such as Strategy, Coinbase, Circle and Bitgo. The platform plans to trade 24 hours a day, seven days a week using permissioned Uniswap v4 liquidity pools on XLayer, with each tokenized stock paired with USDC, USDG or USDT (https://www.coindesk.com/markets/2026/10/05/okx-and-nyse-s-owner-file-for-round-the-clock-tokenized-trading-in-u-s-stocks).
“This is a landmark step toward a truly global, 24/7 Wall Street,” OKXICE co-chair and former New York governor Andrew Cuomo said in a post on X. He told CoinDesk the filing showed “how 24/7, onchain markets can make trading and settlement more efficient, accessible and global.”
The filing uses the SEC’s innovation exemption issued last month, a temporary five-year rule allowing tokenized US stocks to trade on qualifying venues via automated market makers, with guardrails including equal rights to regular shares and a 30-day window for listed companies to object. The move came two days after Trump-backed comprehensive crypto legislation failed to advance in the Senate (https://www.reuters.com/legal/government/okx-joint-venture-files-with-sec-launch-tokenized-trading-platform-2026-10-05/).
