Trump unveils $2.4bn Nvidia-led pledge package for Genesis Mission

Trump announced $2.4 billion in tech-giant computing pledges for the Genesis Mission at a White House summit, while escalating his campaign to rebrand AI as 'super intelligence' on Truth Social.

President Donald Trump used Thursday’s White House “Science: A New Golden Age” summit to unveil $2.4 billion in computing-power pledges from tech giants for the Genesis Mission, the administration’s programme for applying AI to federal scientific research, the New York Post reports.

Nvidia committed $1 billion, the largest single pledge, followed by AMD ($500 million), OpenAI ($200 million), and Anthropic and Google ($150 million each). AMP and Emerald AI each pledged $100 million, while AWS, Armada, Crusoe and Micron each committed $50 million — figures confirmed by the White House fact sheet, reported by Unite.ai.

The commitments bring the Genesis Mission — launched in November 2025 through the Energy Department — to 14 federal agencies working across energy, health and space research, according to the administration. AWS described the move as an expansion to “an additional 14 federal agencies” in its press release.

Trump also doubled down on his drive to rebrand AI as “super intelligence”. “The White House considers anyone that uses the term, ‘Artificial Intelligence,’ as opposed to the highly accepted new and more accurate term, ‘Super Intelligence,’ THE ENEMY!” he wrote on Truth Social, per the New York Post.

Nvidia chief executive Jensen Huang echoed the language in a Thursday statement, saying the $1 billion commitment would put “advanced Super Intelligence in the hands of America’s scientists to accelerate breakthroughs in medicine, energy and materials.”
